These sliders are a crowd pleaser! Gooey and cheesy from melted havarti cheese, but crispy and fresh with dill pickles, celery, red onion and fresh lemon. Packed with protein & Omega-3s from the tuna, these mini tuna melts are an easy appetizer to satisfy a group, or the perfect family-friendly weeknight meal.

Packed with protein & Omega-3s from the tuna, these mini tuna melts are an easy appetizer to satisfy a group, or the perfect family-friendly weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 (5oz) cans Wild Planet Skipjack Wild Tuna

  • 1/2 cup Celery, chopped

  • 1/2 cup Red Onion, diced

  • 1/4 cup Dill Pickles, chopped

  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise

  • 1/2 Lemon, juiced

  • Fresh Dill

  • Salt & black pepper

  • Havarti cheese

  • 1 package Sweet Hawaiian dinner rolls

  • 2 Tbsp melted Ghee

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with oil and set aside.

  2. Drain and add Wild Planet Tuna to a large bowl. Add celery, red onion, dill pickles, mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, salt and black pepper and mix until well combined.

  3. Add bottom half of the rolls to the baking dish. Add a layer of cheese, top it with the tuna mixture and top it again with more cheese. Cover with the top half of the sweet rolls. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

  4. Remove the foil. Brush the sweet rolls with melted ghee and fresh dill and place back in the oven for additional 10 minutes.

  5. Let it cool for 5 minutes before enjoying!
